Natural Deodorant Without Baking Soda (with Diatomaceous Earth)

This homemade deodorant is smooth, effective, and gentle on sensitive skin—made without baking soda and featuring skin-loving diatomaceous earth. It glides on easily, absorbs moisture, and helps keep you feeling fresh all day. Perfect for anyone who’s struggled with irritation from conventional or DIY deodorants.
20-25dropsEssential oils - optional: lavender, patchouli, tea tree, etc.
Instructions
use a kitchen scale and add coconut oil, shea butter, carrier oil, and beeswax to the top portion of your double-boiler (or a glass bowl over a pot with shallow water).
Melt gently over low heat, stirring often. Beeswax will be the last to melt—just keep going!
Once fully melted, remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes.
Add arrowroot powder, diatomaceous earth, Vitamin E oil, and essential oils (if using).
Whisk vigorously until completely smooth and well combined.
Pour the mixture into your jar, tin, or deodorant tube.
Let it set up at room temperature until fully solidified. Store in a cool, dry place.
Notes
For best results, use a kitchen scale to measure by weight—this ensures your texture comes out just right.
This deodorant sets beautifully and stays firm in most climates. In extremely hot environments, consider storing in the refrigerator.
