Certified Organic Yarrow Flowers Summary

Yarrow is a flowering perennial with soft leaves and tiny flowers atop sometimes tall stalks (depending on the amount of rain that happens during rainy season). According to Rosemary Gladstar yarrow is an excellent diaphoretic, meaning that yarrow may help promote sweating that can be beneficial in helping to naturally reduce fevers.1

Yarrow has also been shown to stop bleeding (internally and externally) and is also shown to be helpful for relieving both stomach and menstrual cramps.1 Yarrow has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, which also make it a great addition to DIY cream and lotion recipes!

Pronounce Skincare certified organic yarrow contains the flowers, leaves, and stems and are perfectly cut and sifted and ready for your DIY endeavors.

Yarrow Flowers Uses

Tea (cramps & fever-reducing): Pour 6 oz of boiling water over 1 tsp of yarrow. Steep for 3-4 minutes. This is great for naturally reducing fevers. Drink 1/4 to a 1/2 cup of tea every 15 minutes.

Tincture: You can also make a yarrow tincture. Learn how on our sister blog, Scratch Mommy, Here.

Herbal Glycerite: Similar to a tincture, but without the alcohol! Learn how to make them, Here.

Poultice: Create a yarrow poultice to help stop bleeding.

Precautions: Persons with allergies to other members of the Asteraceae family (such as feverfew, chamomile, or echinacea species) should exercise caution with yarrow, as allergic cross-reactivity is common to Asteraceae plants.
